The topic of displacement and migration continues to be one of my central themes in research and teaching and has not lost any of its importance. I was therefore all the more pleased to be able to share my experience of refugee research at the University of Hamburg and to talk about approaches to the field, exchange views on ethical concerns and discuss the potential of long-term research.
