The aim of this workshop in Munich was to discuss tangled coastal connections, and I wish to thank the interdisciplinary research group ‘Urban Ethics’, funded by the DFG, for having invited me. Our conversations among human geographers and social anthropologists were fruitful and contributed to a better understanding of how coastal infrastructures, other-than-humans, imagined economies and spaces, as well as material flows and processes are entangled, and at times disentangled, too.
