Islandscapes: Talk in Regensburg
Based on a joint publication on the issue of ‘islandscape’, Sarah Nimführ and I were invited to the University of Regensburg to discuss the concept further. We regard islandscape as a helpful analytical tool to overcome islandism in ethnographic research on, with and about islands. Our emphasis is on the need to view islands as situated, practiced, and as being co-constituted among physical boundaries and human agencies.
