I am happy to announce that I will be Juniorprofessor for the Anthropology of the Rural at Julius-Maximilians-Universität of Würzburg as of October 1st 2023. Not only am I looking forward to working together with new colleagues and students, but to further develop approaches which help us understand rural spaces with and through waters. Stay tuned to learn more about my future research on ‘AquaNaturesCultures’, a concept with which I wish to grasp still water economies – such as pond farming, lake fishing, aquaponics, and algae farming – in the Anthropocene.
