Living Uncertainty was the guiding theme of the SIEF Conference, which took place in Brno, Czechia. Together with Arno Pascht, I hosted a panel on ‘When knowledges meet in times of uncertainty: environmental knowledge between science and everyday life’. The panel took the observation that global environmental changes are threatening everyday life, creating new uncertainties, as the starting point and brought together research that highlighted what knowledge people draw on to navigate these uncertainties and focus on the interplay, frictions and contestations between different knowledges such as 'scientific' and 'everyday' knowledge.
