About Me

I received my doctorate in Cultural Studies in January 2020. My dissertation dealt with the arrival of young refugees in Malta. Prior to my doctoral studies, I studied Transcultural Studies (MA) and Cultural Studies (BA) at the University of Bremen, the University of Malta and the Hawai'i Pacific University.

My work has appeared, among others, in internationally acclaimed journals, such as the Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies, Migration Letters as well as Political Studies. 

​

As a lecturer, I have taught at the Goethe University Frankfurt, the University of Bremen, the University of Vienna and the Humboldt Universität zu Berlin. I teach in both lecture and seminar formats in English and German.

​

An experienced presenter, I have given talks at (inter-)national conferences and eagerly participate in Third Mission activities.
