BIP in Italy: Exploring the Connections Between Sea and Land

As part of an

in Italy, we joined students from different countries to explore the connections between the sea and the land in food production. Through lectures, field visits, and group activities, we learned how agriculture, fisheries, and aquaculture have interacted throughout history and continue to shape food systems today. The programme provided valuable insights into the historical development of food production, current practices, and future challenges. Beyond the academic experience, working alongside students from diverse backgrounds encouraged knowledge exchange, interdisciplinary thinking, and international collaboration, making the programme both educational and enriching.
