The interdisciplinary discussion on the future of upwelling systems in West Africa with colleagues from all over Germany was insightful and fruitful. The discussion focused on how to design the concept for a FUTURO campaign to study the ‘Future of Tropical Upwelling Regions in the Atlantic’. Exciting times ahead!
