Between February 27 and March 25 I was on a field trip on the Caribbean coast in Mexico. In Puerto Morelos, Akumal and Tulum I was able to conduct interviews with leading experts on the Sargasso algae and gathered important insights into governing practices on site. It was also possible to conduct participant observation and to have informal discussions with beach clean up teams and local tour operators.
